The Pure Blue Japan DNP-003-IDSM combines the brand’s signature heavy-slub character with an exceptionally textured double-nep selvedge denim. Woven slowly on vintage shuttle looms under low tension, the 16oz fabric incorporates irregular nep-textured yarns throughout the weave, creating a pronounced, uneven surface and substantial depth.

The warp is rope-dyed in indigo and paired with a sumi-black weft, producing a deep, inky indigo tone with an especially dark appearance when new. With continued wear, the indigo is designed to fade dramatically, revealing high-contrast electric blue tones across the raised texture and creating a highly individual pattern of wear.

The 003 Regular Straight fit features a medium-high rise with a classic straight leg and a very slight taper toward the ankle. Construction includes raised belt loops, a blue selvedge line, selvedge coin pocket, chain-stitched hems, hidden copper back-pocket rivets, and a custom branded nickel button fly. The back pocket is finished with Pure Blue Japan’s signature indigofera leaf embroidery, while a black lambskin leather patch completes the rear.
