The Early Military Chinos – 1945 Model (M43035) from Buzz Rickson’s are a meticulous reproduction of vintage U.S. Army chinos from the mid-1940s, recreated with a deep understanding of period-correct design and materials.

Cut with a slightly trimmer profile than the 1942 model yet still more relaxed than modern chinos, the silhouette offers a balanced, easy fit. A defining detail is the top-stitched outseam, which adds a clean, structured look while maintaining the pant’s roomier shape.

The fabric is a high-density cotton West Point twill (uniform twill), developed by carefully studying and deconstructing rare vintage examples. The tight weave gives the cloth a subtle sheen, a smooth yet substantial hand, and excellent durability. With wear, the fabric softens and evolves, developing character much like a well-worn pair of denim.

Finishing details include engraved metal front buttons and expertly constructed double-piped pockets—a technically demanding feature inspired by original vintage pairs. Made in Japan from 100% cotton, these chinos combine historical accuracy with long-term wearability, built to age and improve over time
