The 13oz Denim Waist Overalls “2025 Model – Wide Leg” (SC42025) from Sugar Cane is a vintage-inspired denim built with a focus on early workwear proportions and authentic detailing.

Drawing from waist overalls of the same era as 1930s denim blouses, this model features a wider cut from the thigh through the hem, giving it a workwear-driven silhouette with a relaxed, substantial feel. While classic elements like suspender buttons and a cinch back have been omitted for a cleaner, modernized profile, key pre-war details remain—such as crotch rivets for reinforcement and the rear center chain stitch running right-high, true to early construction methods.

The fabric is a 13oz selvedge denim woven to replicate the irregular character of early yarn spinning. With its pronounced slub texture, the denim is designed to produce rugged, high-contrast fades and develop a natural patina over time.

Finished with original iron buttons, a leather patch, and a newly produced green flasher, this pair stays true to Sugar Cane’s commitment to heritage denim. Made in Japan from 100% cotton, the 2025 Model is built to wear in beautifully and reflect the character of its owner.
