The SJ42CP Heavy Chino Trousers from Samurai are a rugged take on a classic silhouette, built with the brand’s signature focus on fabric and detail.

Cut from a substantial 15oz selvedge chino, the fabric is woven using thick #6 yarn on a vintage shuttle loom—an uncommon approach that results in a dense, durable material with a pronounced texture. Sulfur dyeing gives the khaki tone a rich depth that will fade gradually over time, developing character with wear. A silver selvedge thread runs through the fabric, referencing the edge of a Japanese sword.

The fit is slightly slim with a clean, streamlined profile, complemented by a one-wash finish for minimal shrinkage and immediate comfort. Inside, custom jacquard pocket bags feature traditional Japanese “Kamon” family crests, adding a subtle layer of heritage detail.
